2006 Souhrada Family Reunion

The 2006 Souhrada Family Reunion took place in Maquoketa, Iowa.  Saturday evening dinner was held at the “Decker Hotel” and Sunday’s gathering and business meeting was held at “Michael’s Hall”. 

31 people attended Sunday’s dinner. It was catered by Mary Ann’s Catering. Dozen’s of kolaches were baked and served by our host family the Powelka’s.  The business meeting was conducted by Virginia Powelka. Dave Souhrada conducted the auction, which was a great success and fun for all. 

At the business meeting, it was decided that Pete Souhrada, our Souhrada.com webmaster, will assume responsibility for maintaining the Souhrada reunion mailing list.  Please provide any address or email updates to Pete by sending an email to the webmaster.  On display were pictures of Dave and Cherie Souhrada’s recent visit to the Czech Republic. Next year’s reunion will be hosted by the Gotstein’s and held on August 18th and 19th, 2007 in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
