At the August 2021 Souhrada Family Reunion held in Cedar Falls Iowa, the possibility of meeting again in the summer of 2022 was discussed. In a break with a 40-year tradition of holding U.S.A. reunions in the upper Midwest, it was suggested to meet in Colorado. There seemed to be enough interest, and so the rest is now history. In August of 2022, sixteen cousins and their families gathered in Loveland, Colorado for a fun and informal event. Friday evening, Pete and Karen hosted an evening event at their Loveland home. On Saturday, after a day filled with exploring area attractions, everyone met for dinner at the Palomino Mexican restaurant. On Sunday, brunch at the Embassy Suites Hotel was followed by a visit to the Loveland Farmer’s market. For those that stayed until Monday evening, we all met again at The Mighty River Brewing Company.

 

Looking ahead to next year, plans are to hold the next reunion back in Cedar Falls IA the weekend of August 4th thru August 6th.
